As a young, ‘cool’ company, it was important for Blakely Clothing that their strong nautical branding featured on the site in a big way. This was achieved by using an array of textures and background images, each one optimised to ensure that the site was ultra-quick and easy-to-use.
The client has 3 core categories, so we made a feature of these on the homepage. This allows for quick and clear navigation, crucial on image-heavy sites.
As well as the main site, we have also designed their regular newsletter, which will allows the brand to keep in touch with their customers.
We built in the ability to add ‘Vimeo’ videos to the blog, so ‘Blakely Exclusives’ could be easily added for visitors to enjoy.
It was important to make use of the client's beautiful and very ‘on-brand’ photographs, so we gave these as much of the available space as possible and then hid the blog post information in nifty hovers.
